UPDATE Cyclone Ockhi

For the third successive day, in every fishermen village, hundreds and hundreds wifes, children, relatives, neighbours and colleagues, gather at the harbours, looking out over the sea. Each praying and hoping for news from their loved ones. Some returned safe, some bodies were recovered, some are in hospitals. Only in Vizhinjam alone already, these 30 are still missing. Many more in other villages. Electricity is nearly restored after an outage of more then 48 hours.. Fishermen communities are extremely agitated for what they claim late cyclone warning and insufficient rescue efforts. Rescue operations are still going on.
